The title i have chosen for my music magazine i have not quite decided on yet.
i have decided to aim my magazine at females. i thought it would be a good idea as there is not many music magazines at the minute for the female audience. my age that i am going to aim my magazine at is ages 14-18, i chose this age group as i think they would be the audience that would be more interested in fashion and who's at the top of the charts. Also people at this age group will have some money, whether they have worked for it or got it from their parents like pocket money. The magazine will be easy to read and understand as it is for the younger generation, it will have a large verity of pictures too. The magazine will be based in England, the fashion part will also be English, however will have a verity of bands and artists included from around the world.
i have looked on the website 'UK Tribes' to look at psychographic for my magazine, i have found a few tribes that i think my magazine will be aimed at they are,

Music genres and fashion overlaps very widely so this is why i have chosen more than one tribe that my magazine will be aimed at.
My magazine will cost around £2 i have chosen this price as its a monthly so it will have many things included also i have to cover the cost of the monthly freebie. i think that £2 is an ideal price as they are getting a fair amount with their money. Also the age range might not want to pay anymore for it, and might just get put off the magazine just because of the price. The reason my magazine is monthly is because it would be too expensive for my age range to buy every week.
The content of my magazine will be similar to top of the pops -
My main theme of my magazine will be the artists that are in the top charts and also x-factor will play a pretty big part in it. similar to top of the pops and clash my magazine will have similar contents like i will include the charts at that time and have an regular page of lyrics which will be the no:1 at the time. It will also have latest fashion and celebrity make-overs. I will have artists in my magazine that are in the top 10 of the charts eg, the wanted, Cheryl Cole, the Saturdays, Bruno mars etc. My magazine will include also vouchers for high street fashion shops for the audience that are shopaholics.
