Publishing

The publisher that is most likely to publish my magazine could be a medium to a larger publisher. A publisher like Dennis would be more likely to publish my magazine or even Baeur as a huge part of my magazine does include a very popular tv music programme the X-Factor so this could have a huge impact on who publishes it.

The advantage of being published by a bigger company would be that there would be a wider variety of places that the magazine would be sold at like WHSmiths and other specialised newsagents instead of just the few newsagents and in tesco and asda. Also the bigger the publisher the more countries the magazine would be sold in as well as online and on radio stations. So if i published my magazine with Bauer then my magazine would be spread widely across the world and in many newsagents within the UK. however the disadvantage of if you went with a larger publisher is that if your magazine becomes very popular then you would only gain a percentage of the income for the popularity of the magazine, whereas if you self-published it then you would be the only one who is gaining form the populartiy of your magazine, but then obviously you wouldn't have many contacts to build up the magazine buisiness. Like if you went with the bigger publishers they have all the contacts to make sure that your magazine becomes popular and well known.
